AUSTRALIAN DESERT SERIES

"The Australian Desert, or Red Centre, series arose from excitement over the great hot redness of the desert around me. I live in the damp, green and long developed land of England. The colour, space, heat and rough untamed quality of the Australian outback was overwhelming and I have tried to express some of my feelings about it in cloth." Quilt Art Nottingham Castle Museum exhibition 1988.
